Benedicta Du-Baladad

Before joining P&A, Dick was Head Revenue Executive of the Enforcement Service and the Legal Service of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), where she also headed the Large Taxpayers Group. She was with the BIR for 17 years.

A CPA-lawyer, Dick is the Chairperson of the Tax and Legal Committee of the Financial Executives of the Philippines (FINEX). She was also the Chairperson (2004) and Co-chairperson (2005) of the tax committees of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), respectively. She served as the 2005 president of the Tax Management Association of the Philippines (TMAP).

Dick earned her Master of Laws (LLM) degree at Harvard University, where she also completed a one-year intensive course on International Taxation (ITP). She recently completed the advanced management program of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

She is a Philippine correspondent of Tax Notes International and Worldwide Tax Online. She is also the author of the book Taxation of Financial Institutions in the Philippines.
